Singdana | Peanuts

Groundnut or Moongphali or Moongfali or Sing or Singdana or Peanuts are not true nuts but a member of a family of legumes. The veined brown shell or pod of the peanut contains two or three peanut kernels. Each oval-shaped kernel or seed is comprised of two off-white lobes that are covered by a brownish-red skin.Because of their high protein content peanuts are processed into a variety of forms including butter, oil, flour and flakes. Peanut oil is used extensively for cooking and for preparing margarine. It is extracted from shelled and crushed peanuts by applying hydraulic pressure. Other products made from peanuts include peanut oil, peanut flour, and peanut protein. Peanut products are used in a variety of foods; desserts, cakes, confectionery, snacks, and sauces. Not only do peanuts taste good, they are also rich in protein, fat, and various healthy nutrients. They have many benefits like regular consumption gives clear skin, prevents ageing, keeps your heart healthy and kills stress. They are also a great source of folate.
